people have more fun than anybody

i am terrible at having a blog. i never find the time to post. here is a new peice i did on the computer.

the characters were done with ink and the colours were added using the computer.

i'm trying hard to add more colour to my work i felt like a had a real boring dull pallette before and im trying my best to break away from that and try new colours out, stop being so safe , you know?

the title is taken from a james thurber book of the same name. my dad loves short stories like that or saki or o henry , old hurmor writers, those guys are hillarious. so we always had those books around the house, the title doesnt event really make sense, thats the kind of stuff i like.

This is a character idea for a project that's getting under way at school. I'll be doing four illustrations depicting a scene from a novel, I forget who wrote the story but it takes place on the New York subway. I have two more characters to design and an actual drawing of the train car.

This was drawn with brush and ink, the colours were added in Photoshop and the photo was from Google.

F O G

It got pretty foggy today.

This is my work area right now. A couple of coffee tables in my livingroom.

I work alot in front of the tv, it seems like itd be distracting but I really like the background noise. As you can see there's not a whole lot of materials I use. one brush and some scraps of paper or old pop cans to put my ink on, and thats pretty much it. Pencils and pen nibs i guess, and all my paints which are put away because im not doing any painting right now.
